Competition Closing Date: 1st January 2024

The following terms and conditions apply to the Spotlight Competition outlined below (the 'Competition'). These terms and conditions apply in addition to and form part of the Vodafone General Competition Terms and Conditions. By entering the Competition, you accept and agree to be bound by the Terms, and further agree that all decisions of the Promoter in relation to the Competition are binding and final.

  1. Promoter: The “Promoter” is Vodafone Ireland Limited of Mountainview, Leopardstown, Dublin 18.
  2. Competition Details: Promoter is running this Competition whereby eligible participants can submit an entry to win the Prize below, which includes an opportunity to have their business / brand spotlighted as part of a Vodafone X advertising campaign.
  3. Eligibility: You must be resident in the Republic of Ireland to enter the Competition. You must be over 18. This competition is not open to employees, agents, contractors or sub-contractors of the Promoter, or their families, or any agents of third parties who are professionally connected with the Competition. All details entered must be correct. Only one entry per person is allowed. We will have a minimum of 2 winners however we may increase this at our discretion.
  4. The Prize: Winners of the competition will be offered the below:
    • Vodafone X 12 month PAYG credit (With access to Vodafone X free spaces) per creator/business to the value of €260 which is €20 every 28 days
    • Each creator who partakes in the spotlight campaign will receive free advertisement for the business/brand to promote their talent and an opportunity to partake in the Vodafone X spotlight campaign to showcase/advertise their business to promote their brand. This will involve attending a shoot with Vodafone’s creative agency; Folk Wunderman Thompson. Please note this opportunity is subject to the following:
      • Winner must attend shoot – Date and time to be confirmed by Vodafone’s creative agency; Folk Wunderman Thompson.
      • All contents shot on the day belong to Promoter and therefore have the right to create any assets for media usage for the 12 month contract. This content will be used for formats such as VOD, Digital Display, Vodafone X website, Vodafone social channels etc.
      • Winner must use reasonable endeavours to promote, publicise and support the Vodafone X Spotlight series on social media platforms, including on the Talent’s [Instagram and Facebook], by making a minimum of 3 static posts and a minimum of 10 stories to accompany the launch of the Spotlight Series
  5. Winners image rights may be used to promote the Spotlight Series through both paid media and brand owned channels such as Tik Tok, Snapchat, Instagram, Vodafonex.ie, digital audio, You tube, Twitch for a period of 12 months.
  6. How to Enter: To enter the Competition, you must fill in the entry form on the Vodafonex.ie/spotlight competition page before the Competition Close Date.
  7. The Promoter’s determination as to whether the above entry requirements have been satisfied shall be final. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for entries that are lost, incomplete, delayed in transit, corrupt or incorrect, regardless of cause. The Promoter will not accept proof of transmission (including screenshots) as proof of receipt of entry to the Competition.
  8. Entry Criteria: The below is the list of criteria by which the Promotor will judge the entrants:
    • Have an original project, talent or passion
    • Creativity in expression
    • Innovation
    • Distinctiveness
    • Quality of social media/online presence
  9. Winner: The entries will be judged by a panel made up of employees of the Promoter. Entries will be judged against the above entry criteria as to why the entrant should be chosen as a VFX Creator. Winner will be chosen by the judging panel from analysis of all valid entries received. The decision of the judges (acting reasonably) will be final and no correspondence will be entered into in relation to their decision. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the individual that submitted an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the contact details and personal details of the individual. The winner of the Competition will be notified between 1st January and March 21st 2024 so they can claim their prize. Only the prizes outlined above will be given.
  10. The receipt by the winner of the prize is conditional on the winner complying with all reasonable requests of Vodafone and its agents and employees in connection with the Competition. The receipt by the winner of the prize will be by mutual agreement following compliance by the winner with all reasonable requests of Vodafone and its agents and employees in connection with the Competition.
  11. The winner agrees to allow the Promoter to publish their name and county of residence on its website and any other media.
  12. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or goods. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative prize or cash alternative, of equal or greater value to the prize, if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.
  13. To enter the Competition or claim the prize, all entrants to the competition agree that the cost of and the responsibility for complying with such additional terms and conditions will be borne solely by them.
  14. Insofar as is permitted by law, each entrant to the Competition releases and holds the Promoter and its employees, agents, sub-contractors and consultants harmless for any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the Competition or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of the prize, including without limitation, personal injury, property damage and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy, except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter and its employees, agents, sub-contractors and consultants.
  15. The Promoter shall not be liable for any breach of its obligations hereunder resulting from causes beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to fires, strikes (of its own or other employees), insurrection or riots, pandemics or epidemics, embargoes, delays in transportation, requirements or regulations of any civil or military authority, computer viruses, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud or technical failure and the Promoter shall be entitled to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition and these terms and conditions without liability.
  16. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter, or otherwise where fraud, abuse, and/or an error (human, mobile or computer) affects or could affect the proper operation of this Competition or the awarding of Prizes, and where circumstances make this unavoidable, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or these terms and conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to entrants or winners in order to avoid undue disappointment
